Riga will be the host city for the international Spring Conference from May 14th to May 16th. This annual conference brings together data supervisory authorities from across Europe, aiming to establish a common framework for the protection of individuals' data at the European level. The Conference serves as a unique pan-European platform for practical exchanges and discussions on best practices in policy and law enforcement. This year marks the 32nd edition of the Conference, and we are delighted to announce that Riga will host it for the first time, with the Data State Inspectorate as the organizer.
May 14th and 15th are designated as closed days for representatives of data protection authorities. However, May 16th will be an open day, welcoming all interested participants. The event will be held at the Mezaparks Grand Bandstand, located at Ostas prospekts 11. Remote attendance options will also be available. Please be informed that the conference will be conducted in English, with translation services into Latvian provided for in-person attendees.
The theme for the open day is "Navigating the AML and GDPR: challenges, cooperation, and compliance."
