Dijana Šinkūnienė is an experienced lawyer with master’s degree in law (Vilnius University, 2000). She started her career in data protection in 2001 and has 23 years of professional experience in the field. Dijana Šinkūnienė has been appointed as a Director of the Lithuanian personal data protection supervisory authority for a five-year term since February 2023. She is also a member of the National Cybersecurity Council.

Dijana is a lecturer in Privacy, Security and Technology (Privacytech) and Data Protection at Mykolas Romeris University (Vilnius, Lithuania) since 2021.
